The creation of Cherries Jubilee is credited to the famed chef, and father of modern cuisine, Auguste Escoffier. It is said that the great chef created it for one of Queen Victoria's Jubilee celebrations. The dish is generally made with cherries and a liqueur, typically Kirsch, flambéed, and served over vanilla ice cream. At Cookwell & Company we recreated the dish in our kitchen to save the home cook the time and terror of flambéeing a sauce on the kitchen stove. It's all here in our little jar. Just heat and use!
